Call me when you get there…

To Dover

Posted by: Dashaway on: December 7, 2008

The latest video installment from way back when–Oct. 25th–when we (all 8or9cantremember of us) travelled to the seaside town of Dover and saw those famous white cliffs.  It was a good day.

Vid is a little long. Deal.

:)

“Ah, love, let us be true
To one another! for the world, which seems
To lie before us like a land of dreams,
So various, so beautiful, so new,
Hath really neither joy, nor love, nor light,
Nor certitude, nor peace, nor help for pain;
And we are here as on a darkling plain
Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight
Where ignorant armies clash by night.”

–Last stanza of Matthew Arnold’s poem, “Dover Beach” via Caity

"The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new landscapes, but in having new eyes, in seeing the universe with the eyes of another, of hundreds of others, in seeing the hundreds of universes that each of them sees." (Proust)
